Prince of Delhi Palace is a wildy imaginative, sharp, and playful play by Ravi Kapoor. Ravi, also known for his long stint playing "Bug" on TV's Crossing Jordan, skillfully takes Shakespeare's Hamlet and turns it into a farce-like adventure where the Prince is a young South Asian med student, Happy, and his kingdom is an Indian restaurant. Happy returns home after his father's demise by a poisoned pickle to both confront his mother's remarriage to his father's twin and to search for one good memory of his father amongst the turmeric stained dishes, the pungent losses and the salted scars he left behind.

Set in an Indian restaurant & performed in an Indian restaurant: come to Purnima, the celebrated Indian restaurant (opened by award winning chef Vikas Khanna -- Tamarind, Salaam Bombay) that has become Happy's Kingdom, and see for yourself if Happy escapes Hamlet's fate! Plus enjoy inspired contemporary Indian dishes and delectable treats, if you choose!
