How did you get involved with Barriers?
I worked with Colette on a short play last winter. We had tons of laughs creating this cute and quirky rom-com about a couple working through some mildly-exaggerated religious differences. I played a character perhaps a bit similar to the one I'm playing in Barriers and I suspect that's why Colette considered me for the role. I'm glad she did!

How do you prepare for the role of Roger?
I charm every woman I meet.

What have been some of your challenges so far?
Really quite few. The cast is so talented and the writing is stellar. We're making fine progress developing what I believe will be a great play to watch.

Can you give us a behind-the-scenes tidbit about Barriers?
When you see the play, or even read the synopsis, you may be surprised to know that we laugh a lot in rehearsal. And I think the play itself will turn out to be a lot funnier in some places than people might expect, given the gravity of its subject.

Anything else you want to say about the show, about you, about life?
I'm glad that Desipina has chosen to remount this play on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. It has been enlightening to revisit the thoughts, feelings, circumstances and stories that occurred around that time, and to reflect on how far we've come since then (and how much further we have to go).
