DESIPINA'S CREATIVE TEAM SEEKS ACTORS

Actors looking for a place to meet fellow actors and connect with writers? Come join our monthly actor/writer labs where writers bring in approximately ten pages of work and actors are cast on the spot. Hone your cold reading skills while snacking and socializing inbetween pieces.

Please email desipina@desipina.org with your interest and experience. Due to space, we are unfortunately limited to accepting only three new members, so email today!

Next meeting is set for October 18th.

NOW SEEKING PLAY SUBMISSIONS: SEVEN.11 (2007)!

Seeking plays for the Seven.11 Convenience Theatre series, which takes seven, 11-minute plays, all set in a convenience store, and weaves them together to present an evening of entertaining quickies for all to enjoy.

All scripts must be 11 pages or less, in proper play format, with a max of three actors (role-doubling, however, is permitted) and set in a convenience store. No other requirements than to write something that challenges, defies, or just tells a darn good story. Each play should be able to stand alone; many of the plays from our previous seven.11's have had independent productions around the country. Last year 3 of the Seven.11 plays were nominated for the NYIT Awards for Best Short Play.

Some of the popular series stories included teen nerd club drama, Holi color antics, and an original pop musical that left us wondering 'Who killed Mr. Naidu first?".

Email submissions to: convenience@desipina.org

Or mail your play to:
