The Launch of Desipina Films!
Hello Friends of Desipina,
In the middle of this glorious summer, we have some exciting news of our own! As part of our 7th season, we have some big plans. We are launching Desipina Films, a new initiative spearheaded by Rakesh Chaudhary and Uday Jhunjhunwala. After 6 seasons of ground-breaking theatre that focused on themes central to the Asian experience in the United States, we felt that a film production unit was the next logical step in our efforts.
Desipina Productions will produce short films that reflect our creative values and serve as a platform for writers, actors & all other artists who are our true messengers. Our aim is enter our films into various Short Film Festivals around the country and hopefully win lots of awards :). We aspire to evolve into a company that produces full length features in the future.
